Lighting Thief Review and my general thoughts about movie.

"People say its nice."

Xuan Zhi says its not very nice. The action scenes, okay~ They were done pretty neat, tho no 1337 fighting/kungfu skillz shown, jus simple, exciting, action scenes done well. Well except that in times it didn make sense. Like how the water guy, owned the girl who lived her whole life in the 'wadeva camp' training n training, without training. Oh cos he touched the water? Ok i buy that.

Plot? The world is in danger, and it needs to be saved. And it was saved. Ok to be honest it was presented in a enjoyable way. But when u start to take a closer look, hmmm. First why are they training to fight with swords and bows? Wun guns work fine? So only the magical swords and bows work against the mythical creatures? Well not like they explained it but wadeva, i buy that too. But why are they training in the first place? Preparing for Ragnarok? Oh wait, thats a different mythology... Wadeva, training, yes training, defend against danger frm unexpected mythical creatures.

Zeus set a deadline, for the thief to return the bolt, or else there shall be war. ppl think its the water boy who stole the bolt.

What makes ppl think its the water boy? Who is responsible?

And so i tot this movie is gonna be about the water boy leveling up experience and his tough journey to Mount Olympus, fighting all sorts of nonsense in his trip, den fighting the final boss and end of story. But no, he dun even need to level up.

So he is in danger. Take him to the camp, and train him. He receives no training, and was thrown into a practice fight, grp fight summore. He altho faces some difficulties, but eventually owned one of the better fighters ard, without training.

How is that possible? Why?

Neways the movie tried to be smart, the plot didn advance as i tot it will. He decide to chu stunt. He want to rescue his mom frm hades, instead of looking for zeus to convince him to not start a war. He thinks that nice guy hades will let his mom go when he realise he gt the wrong guy.

Neways he decide to leave ultimately. And we saw no efforts made to bring him back.

It was said that, hades will jus kill the water boy and his mom even if he realise he was mistaken. And with the SUSPECT dead, and with no clues of where the bolt is, isnt the war all but certain?

So they all jus relac. He followed his instinct and everything will solve by themselves.

Neways, how the hell did zeus lose his bolt anyway?

Den the lighting thief, damn heng ah. He didn even look for the water to deliver the bolt to hades. The water boy came by himself.

He didn even deliberately frame the water boy so that he will eventually come to the camp. And didn deliberately tip hades that the boy have the bolt. So that Hades will kidnap his mother to exchange for the bolt. So that water boy will try to find a way to the underworld, which eventually lead to the waterboy coming to find the lightning thief himself. It all happened coincidentally.

Not like the lighting thief had any 1337 skillz cept a pair of flying boots. And with that he stole zeus' bolt...

Ok his adventure to collect the 3 jewels was quite interesting. Tho the action scenes... hmmm simple but enjoyable.

Hades kena owned by his wife with the bolt. And the water boy can parry away lightning bolts frm the lighting thief. Hmm i guess this shows the difference in ability? I wonder wad training he did which made him so skillful.

2 mins to travel that huge distance. I guess time must move real slow in Olympus. Seriously, cant they say he gt 20mins more?

And peace is ensured. He returns to the camp, to train to fight, for wad? So he can protect himself frm random mythical creatures. Hey since when he needed training? At the most jus carry a water jerry can or something.

I think im complaining too much. But i know im nt blindly biased against movies cos there are movies that i enjoy so much i brought the dvds to support whoever responsible for producing it. Its not like i only watch anime and deny movies -.-

The problem with movies is that its so short, there is limited time to squeeze alot of things inside. No time for leveling up, no time for development of relationship, no time for fillers, no time for anything. Only gt time for summary.

I guess the only thing i can say is, without love it cannot be seen. I jus dun like watching movie in general, thats why i always find faults in movie and overlook the good parts. But i still recognise a good movie when i see one, or maybe jus my taste is different frm others =D.

Food and movie reviews

Today watched L : Change the world. It didn exceed my expectation, jus right. I know it will be enjoyable for me who read death note and also accept the movie 2 ending. Kira supporters prolly will hate the movie 3 cos L IS SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD IN THE FIRST PLACE.

The movie make L darn much smarter, no1 can be made better off without making another worst off, hence kira became much stupider.

No much comment la, generally enjoyable movie.

Botak Jones Vs Crazy Angmoh

I tried em both, tho i didn try the other dishes of botak jones cept the salmon, but it was enuff. Crazy angmoh i tried fish n chip, the beef burger and some chicken.

It is very 香。The salmon taste very heavy, but nt unpleasant. Some ppl dunno hw to cook salmon, den their salmon taste very bad. Can also taste an adequate amt of carbon. Smoky feel. Nt zhao ta ah.

But it is very small. 2 small pieces for i think $16 or $18. But also gt bread and fries i think...

Oh den there is the cheeeeze fries.

Here their cheeze fries, is nt fries pour cheeze on top on it sia. The fries they all are like coated with cheeze when they are cooked. So when serve to u, its jus fries, no liquid cheeze anywhere. Wah but the taste, the chhhheeeeezzzeeee taste is heavy, the fries is nice. My tongue didn get scald, but it was hot, nice. Its almost as good as carls jr beef fries-wadeva-u-call-it, maybe better, heck they both are good.

Okay lor, wad can i say? I rmb the lil bites i stole frm junhong's fish n chip in billy bombers i think was much better. I wun mind eating this, but i wun come bishan specially for it. The fries normal lor. Macdonald and long john fries better den it.

The chicken thing, i didn eat personally. But my fren no commento. No comment is the worst comment.

The burger is indescribable. It doesnt sux, but its nt teh best. But honestly, mcspicy or zinger beats it hands down anyday.

But its jus the bishan outlet. However my fren say he think crazy angmoh only 1 store. If really 1 store, den case closed. If gt another outlet, imma giv it another chance.

JB really gt quite alot of nice food. Stuff are generally cheaper too. Its really easy to go there too. But they are also known for frequent cases of robbery and stuff. But its nt like there isnt any in singapore right?

To go jb jus take 160 or 170 to the custom, den jus go tap ur passport and u can get to the other side. take the bus again and cross the river, den reach the kastam.

Write some shitz on the stupid white paper which u hav to get frm the ppl who chop ur passport. ( kenneth takes damn lot for future convenience, jian )

Den beyond, jiu jb liao.

Uptill now, i only go 2 places la. City square and wad teblan market ah. Nvr go before mah, still haven explore finish those 2 places.

Walk 5mins jiu can reach city square liao. This shopping center very nice sia, very big, gt aircon, looks nice and gt alot of shops. Their action city very fun sia, both times we go, can play in there for 1 hour+, and the staff very friendly sia, nvr diao us, play with us summore sia.

That time in taiwan see the croc, where u press its teeth 1 by 1, den the lucky guy will kana bite. Here hor, i see a similar toy, but this 1 damn scary, is dog. I cant describle how it works la, but its damn scary, the shop ppl also say, cannot let baby play, or else they will cry. lol so tempting =D. But damn ex la, i save that for other day, today i buying something else.




Some puzzle stuff. I was thinkin this kinda stuff very nice for guests to play mah, so i brought 1. Neways when bored of it liao, can wrap up and give as gift also xD.

Neways on both times also watch movie there cos very cheap. Dun hav to worry about cinema condition, its cathay so its pretty decent.

This time watched national treasure. It is generally quite a enjoyable movie, but i jus dun like the many impossible things they did on the show.

This time nvr order the fried rice and egg la, but nt like they nt nice, but too many food la, later like last time, eat till wan puke liddat.

Actually still gt the curry fish head and the tie ban tofu, but the mouth always act faster den the camera.

Today order the vege, tie ban tofu, bai gu wang, and stingray.

The stingray nt very de nice la, and damn hot! I cannot take it sia.

Bai gu wang first time eat very imba, but this time, like nt as gay liao haha.

But the vege still owange. I nvr had any vege so yummy before. We all is chiong the vege sia. Too nice liao. First time we buy small, eat nuthing. This time buy medium, nt enuff. Must large sia.

Wah den the drinks hor, 3rm buy the soy bean milk on the left. Btw, the milo on the right is same as the standard glasses in singapore. So u can make comparisons =D



And it taste nt bad too.

Ok next target is Crazy Angmoh.

Oh btw, buy me this game. Its limited edition. US$80

I watched a movie today, but i cant tell u wad it is, cos its a secret. =D

But every1 that i said that to, they all knew wad movie i actually watched, am i that bad at hiding the truth?

U know that, when i dun do a review for a movie, it means its good. Cos i dun wan to spoil anything. It is really that good. Its a 5 out of 5 value for $. Its not like its the best movie ever, but it is 100% value for cash. In fact, i think the cinemas are ripped off for charging the tic at $9.50. Im watching it again. Soon. When i hav $$ =(

Why it is worth ur $9.50? ( or cheaper on budget days )

1. The piano pieces are like, great. ( Imma start downloading )
   
2. The story is like, great. ( i hope jay didn write the story, or else hes a genius )
   
3. The directing is like, great. ( i love the way its done )
   
4. Jay's papa rox ( like roti papa )
5. Unexpectedness. ( he tricked us all into believing that she is actually a *****, and i would hav been so sick if it were to be true. But i was shocked. It was not what i expected, amazing. And it only gets better.

Why is it nt worth?

1. The main zhar bor is nt chio like 100 pound beauty. But i feel that in this case, the selection was right. It wouldn be as good if she is damn chio.
   
2. Jay's acting sux. Any average joe can replace him cos there is no skillz.
3. A happy ending is a bad ending. It would hav been much betta if its a sad ending =).
4. The science aspect of the ending was done poorly, it didn obey any of the theories. But who cares, its nt like we're watching discovery channel.

I guess cos last time no wax, which is why his hair turns out to be liddat in the picture =D

I tried my best to be spoiler free liao.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

Another wonderful movie which i enjoy. I didn liked the end tho, and the girl is really an idiot. But if all story everyday happy ending, den jiu sian liao. Actually, if they died instead hor, would more drama, den i would hav cried liao. Yea this movie failed to make me cry =(. At most the scene where he stopped time, act the very sad only, but no tears.

This movie uses the full cycle formula, where it story ends the way it starts. I like see this recipe like in every comic lor. They love this concept. But i still like this kind of ending la =D.

Maybe the reason i've been getting 15 views a day for last week was due to the contents of my posts, or the lack of it.

Actually gt a few shits i could discuss here, jus that i lazy to type nong nong, use alot of time.

The newly opened western stall at my hse there, i think gonna close soon liao. That stall is the 'cursed one'. So far all the stalls that opened there dun last. First was a roti prata stall. Their prata gets worst over time, and they very soon collapse. Den another grp come do prata. Den also go pok. Den renovate. Gt some economic shitz stall, sell those fried beehoon for $0.50 those. Really doing quite well leh. Alot ppl like to go. But also pok. Den open another economic stall, but they moved away, cos they can feel the evilness. Now they doing quite well =D.

After that, for a long time no1 dare open. Den the prawn noodle auntie frm the market come do for awhile cos the market renovation. Den last time in market, her reputation very good de. I in sec skool, almost the entire holiday i can eat her prawn nooodle. Den i always bring ppl come eat. But after opening for a few months, her standard also drop liao, dunno why she do so many years in market nvr drop, do a few months there die. Den now she move back to market, business nvr recovered to her prime, plus her noodle still sux. Last time so imba, now so whay, i feel for her.

Den after the prawn noodle left, after a few months, now come the western stall ppl. The first day they open, i jiu buy frm them liao. But since den i nvr buy again xD. The taste normal la, westomall de better. I really wish them good luck, and break the curse. They everyday play S.H.E song, alwyn also nvr go support =(

Oh btw, harry potter sux. SUX. Tho yh and yr say quite nice, diff opinions la.

IMHO, i feel that, there isnt much of anything in this film. There isnt much of content. AS USUAL, the movie start with harry's family. Den some dumb shit happen to them, den he go to skool. Den the prob will be introduced. Den they will do something about the prob. Den He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named aka *gasp* Voldemort *surrounding ppl stunned* and/or his frens will appear and goo goo ga ga. Harry will sumhow survive, and end of movie.

But most story/movies also like this la, if nt all. But i jus dun like the way its done in harry potta. Different ppl doing the same things gets different results. But no leh, when rain take off his shirt in his concerts, ppl will scream. If i take off my shirt in orchard ppl also will scream leh xD.

There isnt much of action. The fight, was pretty stupid la. Using lame spells to knock the death eaters away. Den like alwyn said, they all use ichigo bankai, den move very fast, see the black shadow liddat. Den the bad guy jus use, 'abracadabra', instant kill move. The part where sirius black died, i really wan to puke blood liao.

I hav always hated the laws of magic in the world of harry. Firstly, spells are of equal 'strength'. In the sense, its nt like... bleach. Like ichigo alot of reiatsu, den more power. Its like in harry world, flare = 20 damage liddat. Cannot increase damage. But den when the voldemort vs dumbledore/harry, the laser frm their wand can like naruto shippuden when sasuke and naruto use their 'down, down, circle' liddat, can spam key to push their laser closer to the enemy. I tot the magnitude of their spell same 1.

Den spell no need chakra/mana/soul energy 1. Can use forever. Ok i assume that they tap into the dark matter, magic gt something to do with quantum.

The most $#$^$&%$& shit would be the instant kill spell. Nb den every1 jus compete who say the words fastest win liao. Den kakashi in harry potter world strongest liao. But the idea of why nt every1 use it is reasonable la. Its like every1 know how to stab a person with a knife, but we dun do it, cos if u do it, you will be labeled as 'bad'. Same as the abracadabra la.

Den there isnt much of the 'dark' element. It seems pretty nuthing to me.

Argh, tio sunburn liao. Now its burning like a sonofa pikachu ina tub of bubbling olive oil. After the chem went to cck sports complex to swim. Called sean yangxi and casper xD. ( Nt to worry, there is no touchy touchy anymore, its now safe )

Casper go home take his sexy speedo, den me and yx go there first. Go act tan abit, den go kana wata for awhile. Den after 30mins of playing with water, sean came den we also start to act swim liao. Swim for 50m, tired liao. Den chit chat awhile den casper come liao. Wanted to learn freestyle frm him but after tryin for nong time, still cannot. Den nvr swim la, keep tanning, chatting, playing with water, gettin stuck in the slide, climbing up the slide, act tan sumore, create whirlpools for 30mins, etc.

Was very fun la. Tsk hw can always go only me and sean, must more variety den more excitement =).

Den go check eye. Increase by abit la, 50+, den the shan guang i think up 25+. Den left eye more den right, left up catching up with my right liao =D.

Den i dunno hw he gt my records de, last time i check eye is 2004. Ahh 2004 is hw old ah...? 2007 = J2, 2006 = J1, 2005 = Sec 4, 2004 = Sec 3! Oh. Sec 3. Den my converse ball also buy in 2004 leh. Speaking of injuries, jus now i random, run back home frm my shop, den almost trip and die. Den it made me wonder, if fall down den head kana, wad would happen ah? Those drama ppl head kana zham will lose memory. Den why only forget the events den abcd and 1234 and + - X / and stuffo can rmb ah? Den wad if brain tissue damage, den the person de personality change. Or become dumber, or smarter? The brain is so interesting. Maybe i should crack my head for some and do some exciting things. Maybe can cure my ADHD.

Neways watched F4 dunno when. Pretty good la, too bad cannot see jessica alba naked =(. But neways i didn like the part where galactus is represented by clouds. Cant they jus draw him? Hes so cool with his purpleness. And Dr. Doom seems very weak and extra, nothin much, might as well replace him with a character called the anneh surfer, who kope the silver surfboard instead of Von Doom.

And i forgot wad i wanted to type again liao.

After the mye, im gonnna need some $$. For xbox games and alot more for arcade. Im gonna get that psp mutta. I gt to the final stage like 5 out of 10 times? Dammit, rigged machine.

Watched ocean 13. Decent. Many silly moments like those in ocean 11. But wasnt as amazing as in 11. But they had alot of bullshit to make up for that. Like the rich chinese guy =D and wad other guy who go mexico and cause a protest haha.

Enjoyable, but not as good as it could be. Poc... argh.

Im rrreeeaaalllllyyyy laaazzzzzyyyyyyyyyy. I wan to like sleep thru the entire mye. NOT. Prolly study a lil bit la. Each night as bedtime story before i sleep. My tuition teacher says it is possible to revise for a levels in a week. LoL. Lets see hw much i get for mye =)
