How wonderful and amazing how small actions can lead to interesting results. Alwyn told me about meeting siang yee. He noticed cos he saw some fuhua pics den he asked if he knew me. He also had his scouts group picture too. If alwyn didn entered his bunk to take alook, den he would not have seen the picture and i would have nvr known they know each other etc etc. Funny how things turns out in life lol.

Neways i think i scored roughly above 50% for my jap spelling test. Nt bad la =D

Well 2nd lesson was still very fun. 2 hours fly past like nothing. Reminds me of lessons in Just Maths with Dr Marcus and chem tutions by Charlie Chan, omg hes C.C.



( I was sadded for a moment, for while i was searching for charlie chan's picture, i realise i dun have it. 4 years worth of pictures were lost the last time my harddisk crashed T_T )

Neways this would be a good chance to post about SOYA 2009~

310109 ah? I rmb was weekend la, friday cos den sat morn book out shower and chiong liao. Oh that day took cab like 3 times sia.

First go cab home. Den cab to ngee ann. First time come ngee ann, dunno how to get frm where to where, lucky gt marshaller deployed to guide us.

When we reach the place ( btw we is only me and yj la, dunno who else wanna go this kinda nonsense. So if wan join us tell me ah lol ), fucking small sia. First at the entrance gt the registration counter there, den to the left gt a small wooden stage and 6~7 stalls ard it. Den gt 1 LT there. To the right of the counter need to climb some stairs like 1 storey higher. The other side roughly as big as the left side, jus that its narrow, stretch further. There also roughly 6~7 stalls.

Gt wad sell snacks, drinks, usual doujinshi, pictures, bookmarks, stuff. Yj was planning to spend big $$$$ down here but in the end nvr use any cos it turn out smaller den expected, sell de things also pretty much wad other places gt.

But quite alot of cosplays ah. Gt card captor sakura, code geass, naruto, zero no tsukaima, left 4 dead.... blah blah.

Saw a few frens there frm fuhua. Basically gt 1 guy frm yj class came cosplaying Lelouch frm code geass, and few of his frens come to support him. But hes posing nt very nice ah. But costume nt bad la, if he made it himself haha.



Neways this event was pretty fun and i enjoyed myself better than at AFA 2008.

Most of the activities were in the lecture room where they had individual contest, singing contest, karaoke, team performance. Den in between gt some breaks, where we all can go out and take pictures of the cosplayers.

Oh good thing is the big open space outside the building, or else dunno where den can take picture of them sia.

Firstly the individual contest.



Wasnt very good la. The costume of the contestant no problem la, but many of them didn/cannot act out their chara due to the bad scenarios they were given to act out.

All credits to the emcees that day ( Tifa and Aerith ) for entertaining us throughout the day. Making the bad parts of the show bearable to endure through.

Then there is this fashion show. Nothing much, jus watch only lor.











Next up was the singing competition. Some really didn sing very well =(, like no 1 pay attention to them. While on the other hand, gt ~3 very good singers, surprisingly so for a cosplay event.

Den finally its time for the group event.

First was a haruhi skit which was quite cute and funny la haha.





The 2nd 1 was some random parody of gundam 00. But it was very entertaining and funny haha.





Den the 3rd part very random 1 la. Tell them to act out a random situation. The haruhi 1 is very lame, wad would they do if they are stuck in a candy shop. Den for the innovators, is let the crowd decide, so guy this guy who cosplay the old guy



asked, wad would they do if there are zombies all over the world.

He was so high and overflowing with enthusiasm, the mc ask of him to be the zombie. And few more were dragged down too and suddenly gt platoon of zombie liao.



Den alot of funny nonsense happen, i too lazy to describe haha.









And so in the end, the zombies won the group performance =D

Soon after we zhao frm that place and cab to discovery center. It was at its closing ceremony liao. Nvm jus nice can take some pictures and stuff. Seems like SOYA was more funny den this place, lucky our gamble had paid off.

ooo imba gundam. The eyes gt light 1 den summore can release dry ice 1. Very cool.
